Lend-A-Hand Program

Lend A Hand is a voluntary participation program that encourages all families to prayerfully consider increasing their stewardship of time and talent to Holy Name School.  With all hands on deck, the necessary “family chores” require less time for everyone and participation in these activities comes with a great sense of ownership of the success of the school.

Suggested goals are 12 hours for a single-parent family; 24 hours for a two-parent family; and, 36 hours for those families receiving tuition assistance.

There are many great opportunities throughout the year to help including: Fall Festival, reading to students, making copies, serving on committees, washing lunch tables, and clipping Box top labels.  The list goes on and on.

  • How do I track my hours?
    Log into your Family Portal Account and record your hours under service.
     
  • Does coaching a sport count as lending a hand?
    Yes, as long as the coaching is voluntary.  Simply track the hours you spend coaching and record them in your Family Portal Account.
     
  • Can  someone volunteer in my place?
    Feel free to invite a relative to lend a hand and include their hours  in your Family Portal Account.
