Service

While faith is our cornerstone, service is our specialty and how we live out our faith in our daily lives.  Our students are given opportunities to and encouraged to volunteer their time and offer their talents as good stewards of the gifts with which God has blessed them.  Holy Name School weaves service opportunities into our school schedule and our curriculum, as our students are taught to make a positive difference in their home, their church and our community. In serving others, our students get to experience the characteristics embodied by Christ.

We believe our preschool through eighth grade model is uniquely effective in preparing students to meet the challenges of the future, and learning service is an essential piece of that preparation.  Each House [Marian, Faith, Keys, Trinity, Ichthys, Passion and Angel] has a designated local charity for whom they perform acts of service   These local agencies and others benefit from the presence and service of our students.

Holy Name School 7/8th grade students have received the Y Club Service Award for most hours served by any club in Kentucky continuously since the year 2000.
