Job Title: Middle School Science Teacher (Grades 6–8)
Location: Holy Name of Jesus Catholic School, Henderson, KY
Job Type: Full-Time
Reports to: Principal

Position Summary:

Holy Name of Jesus Catholic School, a Catholic school committed to academic excellence and the spiritual development of students, is seeking a dynamic and faith-filled Middle School Science Teacher. The ideal candidate will inspire students in grades 6–8 to explore and appreciate science and enjoy the classroom experience.

Responsibilities:

Develop and deliver engaging science instruction aligned with state standards and the school's Catholic identity
Teach Earth, Life, and Physical Science concepts with hands-on learning and lab experiences
Create a safe, nurturing, and academically rigorous classroom environment
Incorporate technology and innovative teaching strategies to enhance student learning
Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of students
Collaborate with other middle school teachers and staff to plan interdisciplinary projects and school events
Participate in faith formation activities, including school Masses, retreats, and service projects
Maintain open and consistent communication with parents/guardians regarding student progress
Assess student learning through a variety of formative and summative assessments
Attend faculty meetings, professional development, and school community events

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Education, Science, or a related field (Master’s preferred)
Valid KY teaching certification (or eligibility for certification)
Experience teaching middle school students preferred
Strong classroom management and communication skills
Commitment to the integration of faith, learning, and service

Elementary Teacher

Holy Name of Jesus Catholic School is looking for an elementary school teacher. Candidates should be passionate about Catholic education, have high expectations for all students, be knowledgeable about teaching strategies, possess effective classroom management skills, be comfortable with parent communications, and be an excellent role model for our school community.

Applicants should have a bachelor’s degree, teaching certificate, be able to pass a background check and complete Safe Environment training.

After School Child Care

Holy Name of Jesus Catholic School is looking for after school child care workers. Positions are part time 2:30-5:30 Monday- Friday with the opportunity to work additional hours through subbing. Candidates should have experience with children of various ages, be willing to take initiative in creating and implementing age appropriate activities, be punctual, be dependable, and be a team player.

Applicants must be 18, have a high school diploma or GED, able to pass a background check and complete Safe Environment training.
