Welcome from the Principal

Welcome. I hope our site gives you at least a hint of the challenging, spiritual, and personalized education that enables Holy Name students to achieve success in high school and beyond.

If you visit in person you will find a beautiful campus that includes the Erminia Evans Library, large cafeteria and gymnasium/weight room, spacious classrooms, and areas dedicated to music, Spanish, and technology as well as friendly, outgoing faculty and staff who will go out of their way to make you and your family feel at home.

If you stay long enough, you'll become aware of our dedication to each student as we strive to provide a quality Catholic education based on the Gospel message which fosters service to the community.

Biographical Sketch of the Principal
Sandy Fleming

I began teaching in 1986 as a second-grade teacher at what was then Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic School in Owensboro. In 1995, I became principal at Our Lady of Lourdes School for three years before moving to Bishop Soenneker School, also in Owensboro, as a second-grade teacher and principal.

In 2001, I joined Holy Name School as a teacher.

I have a bachelor’s degree in education from Murray State University and a master’s degree in arts and education from Western Kentucky University. I am currently working on my Rank 1 certification through Western Kentucky University.

I'm excited to take on the role of principal for Holy Name School.
