ADMISSIONS STATEMENT FOR CATHOLIC SCHOOLS

The primary role of Catholic school ministry is to integrate Catholic principles and faith values into all aspects of a child's formal education. Parishes throughout the diocese who subsidize school ministries recognize the important role of Catholic schools in creating foundations of faith for the future. While admittance to Catholic schools is never prejudiced by creed, race, gender, or nationality, parish contributions to the school system are intended to subsidize the education of practicing and fully participating Catholic families.

All Catholic families who have children in attendance at Holy Name School are expected to:

• Register in the Parish
• Attend Mass on Sunday and Holy Days of Obligation with their children
• Establish a history of participating in the stewardship program of the parish
• Contribute their time, talent, and treasure to support the Church in its ministries.

Catholic families who do not have a record of Church attendance and giving at the time of registration will be expected to pay the full cost of educating their child for that current year.

What will be required to receive the Holy Name parishioner tuition rate plan?

To be a practicing and fully-participating Catholic family:

• Volunteer and attend the ministry/ministries of your choice
• Participate in the annual stewardship program of the Parish
• Contribute weekly to the Parish by envelopes or personal checks. Loose cash dropped in the basket cannot be monitored.

ALL of the above will be strictly monitored and ALL will be taken into consideration when determining the individual tuition rate plan of each student. It will not be enough to just register with the Parish. You will be required to have a record of regular attendance and participation.
