The Holy Name School endowment fund was created with the future in mind. What started less than a decade ago, as a dream, is slowly becoming a reality. With contributions from the public, our monetary goal is one million dollars. We will not draw from this fund until $1,000,000 is raised. With the principal from that money, Holy Name School with be able to provide supplemental funds for operations such as employee salary enhancements, capital needs at the school, and tuition assistance for financially disadvantaged families.
Can I make a contribution to the endowment fund in a form other than cash?
Yes. In addition to cash contributions, Holy Name School can also accept stocks, bonds, gift annuities and trusts. However, the endowment's board of trustees reserves the right to decline any potential gift if its acceptance would not be in the best interest of Holy Name School or if its acceptance would place an undue burden on Holy Name School .
Is this a tax-deductible gift?
Yes. This fund falls under Section 501 (c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code and can be used as a tax deduction.
Do I need to transfer my gift to the endowment now, or can I do it at a later date?
The best time is the time that is best for you. You can make the personal choice to contribute now via any of the above options, or make a provision in your will for the future.
Can I remember a loved one with a memorial gift to one of the endowment funds?
Yes. If you generously give $2,500.00 or more to the endowment fund, a leaf on the donor tree in the main lobby will be engraved with the name of a memorial.
Am I able to designate my gift to the endowment for a particular purpose?
Yes. If a particular program within the school is of interest to you or your family and you designate your gift to support that program, then the income generated by your donation will be restricted for that particular purpose.
What are the advantages of donating to the endowment fund?
The endowment fund is overseen by a board of trustees with knowledge of the needs of Holy Name School . By pooling your gift with the gifts of others, the assets are able to be managed more efficiently, thus providing greater income to the school.
Are there any other funds to contribute to?
Yes, there are two presently. One is the Vivian J. Kissel Memorial Fund, which is used solely to support the needs and enhancements for the guidance department of Holy Name School . The other is the Sister Eleanor Memorial Fund, which solely financially helps the academic teams at Holy Name School .
How much do I have to give?
Any amount is welcomed. If you generously give $2,500.00 or more to the endowment fund, a leaf on the donor tree in the main lobby will be engraved with your name or the name of a memorial.
Can I pledge to give $2,500.00 over a certain time?
