Second Grade :

Sacraments of First Reconciliation and First Holy Communion

The 2nd grade year at Holy Name is a special year for our students. The students grow in many areas of education. The most important growth we see at Holy Name is the growth in spirituality. The 2nd grade Religion curriculum centers around the Sacraments of Reconciliation and Eucharist. Parents are actively involved in the instruction. Reconciliation is usually celebrated in December. First Holy Communion is usually the last weekend in April. The dates for these sacraments are established during the previous summer and communicated to the parents at the parent orientation meeting at the beginning of the school year.
